I wish you all would make an AC you could actually clean inside of the vents - the mold build up just happens and it's IMPOSSIBLE to clean it. can you work on a better design PLEASE?

I have a mildew musty smell coming out of the ac when the compressor shuts off and the fan comes on. It's driving me crazy! I've sprayed Lysol, bleach water mix, etc and even added the ac tablets but I can't put them in the right place without removing it from the window which is a difficult task. You'd think in 2022/2023 they'd have better designs for window acs for easier cleaning or some kind of built in uv light to prevent internal mold and mildew!

How do you reset filter light on this model?

To take it out of window how do you drain the unit? I know tipping it back will, but will just the fan evaporate water? Thanks

I am killing my finger tips trying to pull off the front cover to get the filter out!

Other than that, this AC is wonderful, super Fridgid...aire! Not too loud at all and the design is really nice.

I have this unit in my new apartment and it's terrible. It's a minimum of 55dB and is starting to give me tinnitus. In less than 2 months it smells like rotting garbage and there's no way to actually clean inside the unit. The filter is a joke. I'm thinking of gluing hepa filter material to their "filter" so that I don't have to smell all the crap from outside. Do NOT buy this unit if you have allergies. Buy from someone who has an ionizer and actual filter built in and that wont make you go deaf. Cooling power in inferior.

Removing AC unit is not a possibility for certain "Handicapped People" Dumb suggestion! There are better ways, but if you keep it working, then a new one isn't needed. Get the picture!
