I said at the dinner table that I was thankful for my mom. It was just me, mom, and my nana this year. I just recently moved back in with her due to mental health reasons and I need to pay things off. She’s letting me live here rent free, I work with her, she cooks breakfast and lunch for the whole week. I’m just blessed.

We eat between 2-4 so you can have room to eat seconds or go back a few hours later for a second plate, take a nap, and have dessert so you don't lay down at bedtime with a full belly. So it's kind of like having lunch and leaving room for dinner, if you want to think of it that way! ❤

Pecan pie pro tip: Super easy... toast the pecans lightly before you add them to the pie. It elevates everything. But they toast fast so please stay with them.

My family usually starts Thanksgiving “dinner” around 1-3pm because we really don’t plan on eating anything else the entire day other than MAYBE a small breakfast, so to us we figure it just makes sense eating this huge meal in the middle of the day. Then around 6-7pm we’ll just snack on leftovers if we’re feeling up to it, but usually we’re not hungry after eating all that food in the middle of the day haha.

My family spent some of Thanksgiving watching old home movies from past Thanksgivings. They were mostly my dad just setting up a camera in the corner of the room and capturing the chaos. We didn't care that the camera quality was terrible because it was filmed 25 years ago, or that people's faces were cut off, we just cared that you could see us all having fun and enjoying the day. You don't need to have some eloquent thing to say or a cinematic shot, in 25 years you're just gonna be grateful that anything at all was captured and kept.

“My medication has worn off” is such an underrated ADHD statement.

I am thankful for all of my sister’s cancer being removed with surgery! She had a tonsillectomy and neck dissection (took out 38 lymph nodes) for tonsilliar cancer on November 19th. We got word from the Dr on Weds that it’s all gone and she shouldn’t need any radiation or chemo. Although her recovery and healing have been quite awful, if she can get through that, she can get through anything ❤

GO LIONS! 💙. Oh my goodness. I wish that we were neighbors. Sometimes when I watch you and your family’s vlogs, I actually realize that there are so many amazing humans in this world that I have yet to meet. Happy Holidays to you and your beautiful family!

4:42 eating a large meal at 3pm gives you more time to digest…gives time for dessert and socializing etc.

Why 3pm due to people who travel to family's can get home at a better time due to many needing to work on Friday. 😊 It's out of kindness to others.

I'm thankful for my children. I'm thankful to be breaking the cycle of generational trauma and healing so that my children don't have to ❤

I clicked on this so fast.😂 omg that pecan pie looked so good. I started cooking late so I think we ate around 3:30ish. So glad y’all had a great Thanksgiving. You and Erik are the cutest.

I love the vlog, during those times where it's hard to remember to vlog you should just set it up and turn it on and than forget it's there. I love watching that mundane everyday stuff

We eat at 12 noon, Noon used to be the biggest meal of the day to help the farmers get through the second half of their farming
