In this video, I explained what are the new NSE lot sizes that have been released by National stock exchange in their circular recently.

Nifty has been changed to 75 from 25
Bank NIfty has been changed from 15 to 30
Finnifty has been changed from 25 to 65
Midcapnifty has been changed from 50 to 120
Nifty next 50 has been changed from 10 to 25

These will come into effect from Nov series and it's very important for option traders to keep in mind that they have to change all these lot sizes in their algo tools or strategies. Especially when backtesting, traders need to keep this new lot sizes in mind and do backtesting as per that.

The new contract value has been revised from 5 lakhs to 15 lakhs by SEBI recently and this change of NSE lot sizes is with regards to that SEBI circular released on Oct 1st 2024.
