I'm in tears that Ottis had gone he brought everyone to laughter. He and Cruz's relationship. They are best friends and family if one goes then it will affect them. When Stella Kidd hold the picture of Otis I could see tears in her eyes that the pain was from yesterday. When Herman wanted a cuddle Stella said no and that he needed a moment. This will affect the firefighters a lot so they will. have to take turns hugging Otis. To remind them how amazing Otis is. And I can tell that they all miss him as Herman nearly cries. They shouldn't huge a picture of he was still there then they can huge him a lot but now a picture frame of him

I read why they wrote Otis out of the show. They wanted to make a big impact and decided Otis was a big enough character but not too big to make that impact. I liked Otis. He’s missed.

My Dad & Otis looked alike. He always watched Chicago Fire. Otis died on Chicago Fire in 2019 & my Dad died that December. I will always miss my Dad & Otis.❤️✨

I love the comments they made when connie "changed careers" in real life the actress died suddenly, during rhe show herman says "we never even got to say goodbye.. none of us did" and chief boden says "i like to think that somewhere out there, shes always watching over us" and he looks up as if looking up to the heavens, THAT is brilliant writing as if letting the viewers know she actually died
