I'm back baby! I haven't felt like sitting down for a book review for a long time but I knew I had to talk about this one. I thought this was such a lovely read. Let me know if you've read this one!

I loved this book, too. Like you, I found some plot points to be convenient, but sometimes it's good to have a book that allows you to think about the deeper questions while the plot continues on.

I love this book too. I’m so impressed by how he was such a good person even though he went through a lot

Most of us grow up with some characteristic that sets us apart from others and are persecuted... whether we’re a wizard, or differently abled...

I absolutely loved this book. It grabbed me from the first page. I had to keep rereading it after I finished as I couldn’t let it go. (And I never reread books). So good

Great video! I just finished this book a couple minutes ago and absolutely loved it! This is the first real book I've read as an adult and now I'm afraid it's all downhill from here. What is a good next book to pick up? All I know right now is that I like first-person fiction. If you could give me a recommendation I would appreciate it so much!

I read this book about a month ago and like it. I wanted to adopt Samuel and protect him. Growing up in the Catholic Church so many things were very familiar to me. I thought it was a 'cozy' book. I'm with you about not liking scary or graphic books. I was intrigued by the description of the story on Amazon, which is what drew me to reading it. SPOILER: The only thing that I felt was somewhat of a letdown was that I feel his life wasn't really "extraordinary" but rather ordinary, side from his embolism. I guess I expected "extraordinary". All in all, I like the book and loved Sam. There are David Bateman's all over the place to varying degrees. Those people that hurt people are always the ones that have been hurt first.
