2 Questions❓Did you know that you'll have to lift both cushions, in order to unfold that thing❓ How many arms do you have❓
Remove the hinge and just slide the wood into place, out from under the mattress.
Make a finger hole to pull it out, then add a small pin to lock it in place, when back in couch mode. So the wood doesn't fly out while driving. Thank me later😎👍

Buy an expensive van….put the cheapest plywood you can find in it….at least buy some maple or birch ply or laminate and edge band it….it’s not much more $ and you will enjoy in the long run…this doesn’t seem campovan quality
