My first PJO animatic is complete!! This is also my first project done in Storyboarder, which is a free and amazing program that makes work like this much easier!
This series is very close to my heart and it overjoys me that it got such quality music. This project has been in the works for a while but I hope I can complete some more animatics soon! Enjoy!

I'm honestly quaking?? This is the first time I've seen anyone draw the age difference between Luke and Percy properly

OW this HURTS. But it's SO GOOD. And Percy is so small this is one of the few animatics that's reminded me that Percy's only in the sixth grade. Percy's face when he realizes that it's Luke, Percy tearing up, Luke tearing off his necklace, the flashback the Luke's quest, the scorpion, how book accurate it is, just YES.

Ahh, Lukes sword!! I distinctly remember Percy being disturbed that it was celestial bronze and metal since they aren’t supposed to attack mortals! Also, the scorpion and how he killed it but it was too late, Lukes quest and his scar! Amazing animatic and great book representation!

It's actually sad to remember that Percy was really only 13 - 14 years old at the time and Luke was maybe 16 - 17. So this was really scaring for Percy.

I never felt sympathetic for luke while reading the books, but the way he sings so desperately plus how you showed his backstory 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 very nice

Luke is misunderstood character and I love how when he thought he was going to help other demigod but at the end of the pjo he died saving the gods.

I really admire how the musical captured Luke and Percy's relationship in just a few line better than in the movie, the musical really gets how Luke was a father/big brother figure to Percy who never had those, making Luke's betrayal even more painful

Watching this after rereading The Last Olympian hurts my heart to see Luke again

First animatic I have seen with luke using his sword and the scorpion.

Oh god, I just realised. Luke made his weak spot the place where he hurt Percy. They have matching scars. He made hurting Percy his weakness. The thing that would kill him. Hurting an innocent kid that he cared about against his will.

I haven't watched the musical (I Haven't been able to find a video of it online) but I've seen clips and listened to all the songs, and honestly, this is one of my favourites. the way Luke sings Percy's song of searching for acceptance back at him in a cruel irony is amazing. and this animatic just made me like the song so much more!
my favourite bit is 1:10, the true face of "oh shit."

I love how they reuse the good kid tune yet change the lyrics to fit Luke's POV.

Percy's whole life he wants to fit in and be a good kid

But Luke has realised that all the effort he put into being good was useless to him so why be a good kid or a good son.
