Dr. Phil said it overindulgance is child abuse. Period. Parenting is PREPARING YOUR CHILDREN TO BE ADULTS. You can be kind and firm. Loving and set boundaries.

How sad to raise your child to be a self absorbed monster and then expect them to be a happy productive member of society.

Toddlers who are never told “NO” are a Kindergarten’s teacher’s nightmare.

Biggest problem is, these brats will be unleashed on the rest of us.

Dog handler and trainer here. The same is happening in the pet dog world. We've an epidemic of anxiety from pet dogs. Its because people are rearing them just like the kids in this video.

Truth be told, a lot of parents are lazy. It's so much easier to be a BAD parent than a good one.

My wife is a teacher, and their job keeps getting harder every year. A lot of the kids have never heard the word “no” in their life, and they get very upset, throw tantrums, and make excuses for poor behaviour. One of them was told to write a letter of apology to her the other week, and it was the worst excuse for an apology I’ve ever seen. “I just don’t like being told what to do, I’ve had this problem for years”. She teaches 11 to 16-years-old, and we hear it’s worse at primary school. They have lots of kids turning up for school without being potty trained and wearing nappies. The parents just think it’s the school’s problem to do everything, including changing soiled nappies and clothes but without any spare nappies for their kids. It’s disgusting parenting, and should be labelled as abuse.

"....Raise your child in a way that ensures you nor other people dislike them..."- Dr. Jordan Peterson.
The foresight and insight are impressive.

Matt is right. If your parents don’t teach you what DISCRETION and SELF RESPECT are THROUGH BOUNDARIES, they will go out into the world and have none. You are setting them up for failure.

That first kid sounds like he has absolutely no structure in his life, no routine and no boundaries. Kids need limits and structure for their development and wellbeing.

Parenting is so sad now. My sister was this kind of parent. Her grown children are horrible human beings.

That little boy in the first video is being setup for absolute failure in life. No structure, no boundaries, no he's going to be in prison because he will have no understanding of what rules and laws are and why they need to be obeyed. People need to realize they are raising their children to become adults. They are not a pet, they are not an actor for your tiktok or youtube videos, they are a human being that is your responsibility.

Parents need to put down their phones and be parents

My best friend once told me “don’t have children when you want to have a child, have them when you’re ready to make an adult”. Completely changed my outlook on motherhood. These parents need to hear that.

I can't count the number of times my kids have screamed, "No!" to a diaper change. But I know what's best for them and change their diaper! That first mom is ridiculous.

My cousin is raising her child with NO screen at all, only healthy food and scheduled sleeping time. The kid is thriving. Happy, intelligent, curious and loves veggies and fruits. She pays a lot of attention to her child and play, sing, read with her. The best parent I've ever seen. Kids grow up the way you raise them!

Advice I heard from a child psychologist: “The first person that breaks a child’s heart should be the parent.” Kids need boundaries, and boundaries can feel mean sometimes. They need to learn how to deal with hurt feelings in the safety of their parents’ love. If not, the first negative emotion they experience will come from someone who they don’t feel inherently safe around. This will lead to adolescents and adults who associate boundaries and hurt feelings with danger. The word “no” will trigger a fight or flight response. Don’t be afraid to tell kids no, use discipline when necessary; they’ll learn how to navigate through that and be better functioning adults for it.

Some parents these days treat their kids like they’re adults and any infringement on what they want is some sort of human rights violation
