COVID-19 vaccination plan for kids 5-11

President Biden released his rollout plan for COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5-11, in anticipation of approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Vaccinations won't take place immediately, says Dr. Nipunie Rajapakse, a Mayo Clinic pediatric infectious diseases specialist, however, they could happen quickly.

For the safety of its patients, staff and visitors, Mayo Clinic has strict masking policies in place. Anyone shown without a mask was recorded prior to COVID-19 or recorded in an area not designated for patient care, where social distancing and other safety protocols were followed.
