Patton's knowledge of b-movies has always been impressive. I hope one day he writes and directs a meta movie of his own where he references all cult bad movies.
His own homage so to speak.

2:15, you can see how excited Patton gets, the way he shifts in the chair.

I remember Patton was the only one who loved Punisher: War Zone's insanity as much as I did.

Andy: All you gotta do is sit on the bulldozer

Damn! I'd have never thought that!
Andy's got brains

Deep Blue Sea was an awesome "bad" movie, and actually did well at the box office. The cast was top-notch, and had maybe the biggest surprise moment of any horror movie I can recall.

I have this memory of watching the 2012 movie ATTACK OF THE 50-FOOT CHEERLEADER - and I remember a climactic scene where the villainous cheerleader, who is also 50 feet tall, is strutting her way through the city, and she's topless, chugging a beer, and all I was thinking was, "...WHERE'D SHE GET THE GIANT BEER??"

I also remember watching another 2012 movie called SNOW WHITE: A DEADLY SUMMER, and how bad was it? It was the kind of bad where there's a night scene, and halfway through the scene you suddenly realize... they're not shooting this at night. They're shooting it during the day, AND THEY COLOR CORRECTED IT AFTERWARD TO MAKE IT LOOK NIGHT.

Also, Maureen McCormick was in it.

Thanks to Conan and Patton, I now need to see Killdozer and Death Wish 3 (discussed in a recent zoom interview)

I once saw a movie with an evil elevator that kills people. The thing about elevators, though, is that their stationary and not very menacing. The people in the movie were aware that the elevator was killing people, but for some reason people kept going into the elevator and were then - surprisingly - killed. It was very weird. Anybody else know what movie I‘m talking about?

Conan left out the most important part: Marvel picked it up as a comic.
In Worlds Unknown #6.
And the cover even says 'As Seen On TV!' as if there was any doubt, as if it had ever existed in any other medium than a 1944 short story and a tv movie at that point in time.

The New Beverley theater that Patton mentions is a FANTASTIC single screen theater in Los Angeles, CA owned by Quentin Tarantino. I have seen some very cool, weird stuff there. If you’re in LA and you like films, you should check it out

"Killdozer" is actually based on a story by Theodore Sturgeon, a much honored Science Fiction writer. I haven't seen the adaptation or read the original story, but I believe it's animated by some Alien intelligence.
In any event, I imagine the original is superior.

Four years after this interview, being a guest on Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst broke him entirely.
