Surfing Ala Moana Bowls (Sep 5, 2023) Drone 4K

Here's a drone perspective of the latest hyped up "End of the Summer Swell" SSW-S swell to hit Hawaii's South Shore. Surfline's surf forecast showed 5-7ft and good but unfortunately after 11am the wind turned onshore and it didn't clean up until late afternoon/evening time. 2023 wasn't the best South Shore season, in fact, it was even more disappointing than North Shore's 2022-23 Winter Season. Then again, we were spoiled because 2022 South Shore Season had the best year in decades so this year was not very impressive but definitely not the worst year.

This is such a great surprise to see this and have my morning coffee to. Another video of spectacular surfing sun and camera shots. Great editing - always masterful. I was out at San Onofre CA last week - 7' day. my buddy and I were talking that the SSW swells this year were a little disappointing, just like you were saying about the South Shore. Last year was epic - just show up and its a perfect surf surf day. Have a great and relaxing weekend.

Nice size and not too crowded but too sideshore. Kaisers may have been okay? Maybe blown out. At Ala Mo I sit down the line and wait for guys to fall or if their wave sections out. Sometimes I sit in closer and purposely get cleaned up so I can catch the middle ones. As a tourist I can't hassle with the locals out there.
