Helldivers 2 ● Difficulty Settings Explained Like A Noob

Helldivers 2 has different difficulty settings. Each one must be unlocked by completing a mission in the prior difficulty, in order to advance.

Yeah certain missions are tied to difficulty like challenging difficulty you can start to get missions like defeat bile titan or defeat two hulks

do the enemies have more health in harder difficulties or is it just more of them ?

Thanks, I just did a mission on medium by myself, I had to survey two locations. It was fine at first😂. It’s when they close in on you and you can’t run. I managed to finish and get to the extraction point. They closed on me and lost my last 2 lives. You still get the mission complete at least but you loose out on point for no extraction. I think I’m gonna coast on easy when playing alone 😂

What exactly is the point playing on harder difficulties? More credit and rewards? the progression is a little confusing to me. Are we supposed to go through every difficulty for each planet?

I don’t even have the option to pick any difficulty levels. They are literally not showing up on my screen. Is there a way to fix this ?
