I agree. My son and I are going through this.
My wife was rushed into hospital in December suffering from the aftereffe cts of
Covid. Initially diagnosed with bowel compaction, complaining of continual back pain, after MRI scans which confirmed an L1 fracture.
Fortunately twenty years ago Ihad dragged her to a solicitor to prepare a Will and Enduring Power for financial affairs. Four years ago , after a traumatic experience with dealing with his in-laws final years he asked us to create zlasting Powers forHealth and Welfare which we did.
Make no mistake, it is still difficult to deal with the care of a loved one without destroying her 'next of kin' in the process.
Most importantly, Enduring and Lasting Powers give you leverage. GOOD LUCK.

I've recently written my will online using Wills Services. The questions and process was simple and they even called me to discuss anything that needed more information before putting the will together.

My mother wrote a will but had to yet to bring it to a solicitor. she died suddenly and her husband (recent Farther in law) took very thing and would even let me look at the will she wrote, he doesn't even talk to me and I was h only child that was close to my Mum, he talks only to my sister and my mum actually hated my sister at the end.
