Webinar on Grant writing: How to write effective project proposals

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands invites you to join a training webinar (75 min) on “How to write effective project proposals in order to access funding for wetland conservation projects”.
This webinar aims to enhance writing of small and medium sized project proposals by presenting key components, information required by most funders and sharing best practice examples. Participants will learn to;
- Identify and name the key sections of a project proposal;
- Understand the content required for each section; and
- Acquire tips to improve the quality and clarity of the project document.
The main resource for the webinar will be the recently published Guidance Document titled:
Guest trainer:
Julie Griffin has over 12 years of experience as a project manager, evaluator, and trainer in international and local conservation at IUCN Headquarters and in Belize. She has developed, written, and led small and large projects in numerous countries. At IUCN, Julie led the most recent major update of the manual and training approach for the Project Guidelines and Standards. She consults on project management, grant-writing and workshop design, and is a Project Manager for a Stanford University research group developing research, sensors, and new teaching programs to predict and manage the effects of the Anthropocene on biodiversity.
