Nice video! I would usually just load back my save if I scattered the car too much. Only time I would keep on with lost parts is if I got a rally trophy. I had to go back looking for the muffler a few times.

If I encounter a lost part issue that requires MSCEditor, I prefer to have a friend look at my save file to locate the part, and then give me a vague hint of where it is. That feels more in the spirit of the game for me personally.

You can go over the treeline with the sledgehammer glitch that launches you into the air. The hitbox is single sided so you should be able to recover parts from beyond it

Here's how I deal with lost parts:
1) Say "it is what it is"
2) Turn up the radio

Losing Satsuma parts is no big problem. But have you ever done big shopping at the beginning of a new save only to crash the Jonnez on the way back and have your items splattered all over?

If you lost satsuma bodyparts ... just install bodypanel seller mod that adds lil junkyard next to field
