Newly subscribed from #fridaysews. I think the labels are funny and true! I end up swearing alot when sewing. I have been sewing for almost 50 years (since I was 8) but I feel quite ignorant. I have learned much from this sewing community.

love your fabric choices! I have been sewing for a good 60 years now, long enough to dive right into projects and disregarding instructions and humble enough to accept that I should have read the pattern and machine manuals first when my results were not up to snuff. As far as threads popping, the first thing I do is rethread the machine, next is to change needles, then change type of threads. All three of my girls(Janome Magnolia which is a good all around machine, a White serger which is a workhorse and only accepts one brand and type of universal needle, and a Janome Coverpro) revolted last week when I tried stretch threads, also found they much prefer universal needles over stretch needles (they are fine with sharps/ microtex needles too for wovens but in most cases universals work just fine) yet I have never had threads pop on my knit garments. In this case I did not have to fiddle with any other adjustments and the threesome are happy once again. Not to minimize your stress in dealing with this, I stopped trying to sew to allow me to regroup, then spent a full day trying out threads, needles, rechecking manuals for the coverpro and serger, then once I got them good again I gave myself another full day to relax and regain some of my sewjo. New subbie, thanks for sharing with us. The youtube sewists are a lovely family group.

Love the stitch and ink fabric 4 meters gives you loads of dress options. Not keen on new Tilly pattern but have seen some nice versions on insta.

The labels looks great, very funny. Are they really soft? As I’m not a fan of labels as most of them are itchy.
