I’m 31 so I absolutely grew up with these. I quit collecting them after neo geniuses. I did pick up a shadowless base set booster pack a couple years ago for cheap and want to keep adding to the collection. Very nostalgic for sure.

I grew up living with my grandparents, I’d get one pack of Pokémon cards once a week if I did good in school. It was literally what I looked forward to, between that and Pokémon Yellow, red, blue, silver, etc this was my life. My older cousin used to get sent to 7-11 to to buy us both our Pack of cards. Before I understood, he would take my Holos and trade me energy’s... 2 cards for 1 sounds good to a 8 year old, huh? The first time I ever spoke up to my grandma and he was told to quit getting over on me, I pulled a Holographic Charizard!! I actually still have the same exact card, today.
