SMALL CAT: Hey guys, can I come live with you and read some of your books?
PUMPKINS: Sure thing.
SMALL CAT: *I HAVE BECOME A SAGE AND DISCOVERED THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD.*

Everybody is talking about how badass is Whitten but I want to emphasize the fact that a strangeling invented archeology.

villager: bogies are after us
whiten: really, ok let me finish this meal and put on this metal armor to give them a fighting chance.
villager: they are killing the badgers!
whiten: *flexs and the armor breaks* so they chose death!

whiten needs an apprentice or a small squad of 5 highly trained and vary focused pumpkins. XD

"Sorry folks, we are a proper God-fearing town, and we cant condone genocide here" -Whiten, talking to some humans who are about to 'get lost'.

Whitten seems to be slowly being put on edge. But he's also surprisingly good at using a Rifle. I don't recall us ever looking more into his family and history but perhaps after this fiasco is dealt with we can take a look inside his head.

"Went missing" is certainly a sinister euphamism. You'd better be careful if you go snooping around Waddlesquash. We had a couple folks "went missing" last year, and we'd hate to have it happen again.

I really like how the characters have grown during the series. I still remember when Whiten got his first musket and was as scared of firing it as the enemies he shot at. Scord has gone from an overworked wood burner to an exile in holy penance, and a kooky little strangeling has matured into a respected intellectual.

It seems big things have started happening with the neighboring civilizations too, so the pumpkins should hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Whitten is a great character. Could we see what goes through that gourd of his? As a side note, I'm loving this total above-ground fortress. I've tried it a few times myself- challenging and takes forever to get anything built but feels very rewarding.

Waddlesquash really needs a militia, maybe some trained war pumpkins. Also maybe connect the different houses to a network of tunnels that lead to a shelter that's stocked with supplies, just in case. Love this series so far!

I second that Whiten needs some deputies to help him keep everyone safe. Or maybe just a small militia who train with muskets for a couple months a year so they know which end does the shooting...

Hmm, would be cool if there was a way to play as an underwater species, imagine making houses out of coral and farming seaweed.

Bogie1: Why are there badgers in that tree?
Bogie2: I believe it's something called a pinata, you hit it with a stick and candy falls out
Bogie1: CANDY!!!!

whiten is doing his best. He is taking on burdens that would turn a lesser pumpkin into juice. Maybe he just really enjoys that rifle?

Looks like the pumpkin heads are gonna have to get some sort of minutemen style militia together. Especially with those humans and bogeys causing trouble.

A fortress sounds like a great challenge.
It can only end in FUN.
It could birth something epic, like the tale of a scared citizen that suddenly enters a battle trance and saves everyone, hence becoming the replacement for the fallen soldier.

Thank Armok the badgers are safe.

"Scord's Lament"

"Into blackness
Among the creeps
I walk these new paths
That no friend keeps
Alone, I dwell
And do, now, abide
I am Scord of Waddlesquash
Of the one-legged stride

Banished to darkness
Deep away from outside
I mined, here, for meaning
Best of friends with my own pride
'Til the Cave Bat came 'round
And we traded our blows
His screech, for my light
My pick, for his brows
Ol' Bat took my hand
So, I cracked his head
Yeah, now, a hand's lost
And I'm alive, here, with the dead

So, remember me, pumpkins
My name, let you keep
Now, Scord One-hand of Waddlesquash
One-legged in the Deep

Yes, Scord, still, of Waddlesquash
'Till my life's end, I meet
Old Scord, yeah, of Waddlesquash
Have a drink? Well ...take seat.

I would not mind seeing a bit more of ArmControlHate, he is the most interesting of the Bogies so far.

Maybe it's time for palisades? Or maybe a small castle? Hiding underground seems kinda boring and the pumpkins worked so hard for their homes. I guess, they would wanna defend their property. Thank you for your work, Krug. It was another fantastic episode. :)

Man this series is great. I really like it when we get to know the dwarfs/pumpkins. The overall feeling and artstyle is so good as well.

I was in my bed, thinking how nice and peaceful this village is, and suddenly Bogis.
