SMCnash April 2015: Nonprofit Media Outreach {Promo}

Social Media Club; Nashville Chapter (SMCnash) will host a free “Nonprofit Media Outreach” meet-up on Thursday, April 16, at the Center for Nonprofit Management located at 37 Peabody Street, Nashville, TN 37210.

Middle Tennessee nonprofits work hard to amplify stories amongst the community hoping to inspire friends to volunteer, volunteers to donate, and donors to advocate on behalf of their missions. With limited resources including small staffs and even smaller marketing budgets, organizations often seek best practices to better understand how to effectively share their efforts with media influencers, as well as carry it further into the social media landscape to foster and build donor relationships.

Join us for a discussion on ways to craft compelling stories and enhance news releases, while learning about media deadlines to increase your chances of coverage in the local market. The evening will also dive into engaging visual graphics, tools to help optimize these visuals, and utilizing social media platforms to continue to grow your presence after the press has published your news.

The panel will be moderated by The Tennessean’s Engagement Editor, Beth Inglish McMillian, and includes Storyteller Columnist Jessica Bliss and Photojournalist George Walker IV, as well as the digital voices for Center for Nonprofit Management, David Greider and The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Kelly Walberg.
