They’re both right. And that’s what’s so compelling about their interactions. He was ruined by dragons and the rest of them were brought up by them. Except he’s out for a vengeance that he is kinda justified in.

Justified actions, when you think about it. He only killed dragons. He may have killed people but that was because they were in his way. Think about it, he didn’t even care about Erza or Wendy until he realized Wendy was a “dragon”. Sure he probably has killed dragons that weren’t alined with the ones who destroyed his village and stuff but at that point of time he was overwhelmed by vengeance.

Natsu on the other hand, doesn’t remember his past life. He got a second life with a better future. The complete opposite of Acnologia. He befriended a dragon which became a father figure. He hasn’t suffered enough expect lose Ingeel or see future lucy die (There are probably other things that I forgot about). You can account having to kill his own brother but they didn’t have that kind of relationship until Natsu actually called him his brother in the 100 years quest.

In short, Acnologia’s actions is very justified, they even explain how dangerous the dragons were during the 100 years quest and how they murdered millions. The single problem was that Acnologia was too blinded by justified vengeance especially to someone who called dragons noble and kind only when he’s met like 5 of them, pissed off Acnologia.

I loved acnologias character because he was so cool since he first appeared, especially since he was justified in killing most dragons it was even showed when dragons appeared after the grand magic games, the only dragon that was actually kind was atlas flame, the rest wanted to kill and destroy and the only reason they didnt was because future rogue was controlling them, if he wasnt then they wouldve rampaged and more would died but the casualties were kept to a minimum

Oh my god thats Irwin Smith!! Shit i didnt know his VA was acknologia! I love his work btw. You should hear this man go full throttle. The final charge in AoT was easily his best work as well as

Acnologias mind about dragons being dangerous and monsters are true but that gets overshadowed as he himself became worse then the ones he sought to destroy and he secretly loves killing aswell

Tbh dragons are more human than they think, as in human the emotion, original he was friends with dragons and even healed them, acnologia(the original one that was friends with this black dragon) was kind and treated humans as friends but when he left something either seriously bad happen like what happened to the new acnologia, he deemed humans to dangerous and tried to kill them all, basically both acnologia were short sighted in their revenge. Either that or he was brainwashed,
