I recently made a pilgrimage to a monastery, and it really humbled me....

Compared to the men I met there, I am doing NOTHING in comparison, for the Kingdom of God.
Sure, I go to Divine Liturgy and Vespers, keep my prayer rule, read Orthodox books and scripture, but a monastic devotes their entite life, body and each moment, to our Lord. Something I can not do in the world.

The visit has inspired me to push myself as hard as possible outside of the walls of a monastery.

Lord bless all our monks, and the powerful prayers pouring from their lips from around the world.
