Modified 212cc Vs. Stock 420cc Drag Race

Bend the governor spring and get another 800-1000 rpms out of it. The more tension you put in the spring from <--> the later it kicks in. Did it on my predator and it absolutely sung to the point where i had to end up getting 18lb springs because it was starting to float the valves.

Speed in a go kart or mini bike depends on RPM. 212 at 5500 rpm and 420 at 5500 rpm with same gearing is gonna be the same speed no matter what is done to it. One might take off faster but that's about it

Bet that 420 is way quieter. I put a straight exhaust header on my ducar 212 on my minibike back in the day. Thing is loud as hell.

I put a stock 301, on a buddies baja, w/the governor removed. 40 series converter, SUN F tires, top end gearing. Would have a much better showing than the 420. 😮😢

did you have 420 throttle all the way realesed? but even if you did, that 212 is super cool 👌

The 420 has its power at lower rpms but the 212 is just coming into it's power in the torque curve around the same rpm the 420 is coming out of it's power ... Ive got a 656 vtwin and the 724 vtwin and the 656 vtwin is faster than the 724 ... Im still getting up to around 70mph before i come out of it due to the gokart getting too unstable but i can feel a difference between the two and the 656 is definitely faster but because of the difference between theyre power levels in their torque curves are at ... If geared right the 420 could be faster sure but if theyre both on the same gokart with the exact same gearing, the 212 is going to be faster too end and slower coming off the line ...

The 420 got more torque and his kart is small that’s why he gets u off the line but yours built tf upppp
