But lets face it, if you can afford an 890 Jump (in game or with real money) you aren't likely going to need to use it to haul cargo for a profit. It's basically just a status symbol, something to fly around and show off. Though I could see a lot of roleplaying possibilities, a mega wealthy Corporate CEO who takes it out to check up on his corporate holdings, a young playboy from a wealthy family who uses it as his "party boat" to joyride around the galaxy with his friends, perhaps even an evil mastermind with expensive tastes who runs his criminal empire out of it.

Oh wow I forgot this thing has a pool! Haha. The crew/passenger space is pretty well separated but that elevator in the spa needs an opaque cover.

I was lucky enough to fly my 890 Jump, HC Newport, as one of the VIP transports for the Daymar Rally a couple years ago - and it was a blast total blast, and it reaped the benefits you would expect of luxury seating and such for an event - it was great to network, to chat with org leaders, and generally enjoy myself. What's more, I learned quite a bit about how to manage the ship -- and not only covered the race quite well, but never ran out of fuel even over the course of the many-hour run if you can believe it.

Fuel consumption is an issue. People have found ways to conserve fuel on spectrum. Devs said cargo and fuel is not finalized.. theres still hope for an 890 explorer!

Farrister, thank you for this review as well as the one on the 600i Explorer. Keep up the good work and I truly like your review 5 Section format.

time for an update to show the new docking option at stations and to update in-game cost - otherwise, spot on and excellent job as always!

Correction. The co pilot seats access two remote turrets and one accesses two remote missile turrets

Bruh, with how much space the 890 jump has inside, it should have 4000SCU worth of cargo area!!!!

Hey farrister I know this video is old but if you had a choice between the Anvil Carrack or this which would you take? Disregard money and my main goal is exploration forget about contracts and missions for the moment and just pure exploration which would you pick?

Good honest review.
Ya, I think safe to say for average player, not much to feel left out on as simply not that useful for sheer gameplay needs.
Beautiful looking tho.

Im not a start citizen player so forgive me if this question sounds obtuse, but why isn’t the actual cargo space of the ship unusable?

Why deploy 1 fighter... deploy a squadron of Furies 😁

This is not the sort of ship that the executive would pilot himself.
