Launched in 2008, FANUC Robotics' CERT program certifies instructors at educational institutions to train their students to program FANUC robots through on-line and hands-on training courses.

The portable CERT robot cart seen in this video features the versatile, six-axis M-1iA/0.5A delta-style robot. This robot is equipped with an iRVision camera that is used to locate the plastic wheels on a tray. The robot then picks the wheel and places it into a fixture. The robot changes its tooling to a deburring tool and uses its six axes to precisely deburr the wheel rim.

As more companies incorporate robotics into their operations, the demand for high paying careers related to designing, implementing and using industrial robots is increasing. In addition, those who are better-trained robot operators will set themselves apart in the workforce.

Graduates of FANUC Robotics CERT program will start their careers with industry-recognized certifications. FANUC Robotics America recently received the prestigious Authorized Provider accreditation by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (or IACET). When the deburring process is finished, the robot performs width gauging of the wheel using precision linear motors.
