Damn man, saw this in my recommend and it brought all the memories back. This was a masterpiece of a game in its heyday, some of my best memories of gaming were on its servers and I was young enough not to have worries or stress just fully tuned in and just having fun. You realize how much you miss those times when you remember them.

Thanks for this. I just started playing, and most of the guides out there are from when the game first came out. It's changed a lot since then. After 20 hours or so of flailing around I found this - it's very useful. -- It's great when folks realize that yes, even several years in there can be brand new players who aren't stupid, just new. ;)

How to win in singleplayer:
-Go to the military base on the map
-Grab all the loot you can from there
-Exit the game
-Enter it again
-Profit

Thank you for this! I started playing this game when it just came out in 2014 and donated because I loved it so much... then didn't play for a good 2 years and now just came back and have no idea what I am doing, lol. The game has changed a lot. Nothing on the PEI map looks familiar... and I distinctly remember 2 years ago I could just start out walking backwards while punching zombies one by one... when I try that now I pretty much die instantly. New strategy it is!

I’ve spent three hours getting guns and melee weapons before dying losing it all and looking around again and then dying again

the gas cans are kinda rare, if you need a gas can but u cant find one, get a saw, some wood and tape
make the wood into planks with the saw in the crafting, then craft the jerry can with the planks and tape.
also u need crafting 1 to do it (but that is easy to get)
