I'm 34 and have always dreamed of a simulator. I went through the pain of growing up playing all of PC racing games with a keyboard/mouse and missed out on a lot of enjoyment. I just got myself a Logitech G Pro and I am going to absolutely have a blast. Thank you for this video and break down of this game. Also, pleasure to listen to you talk on technical aspects and driving tips. I can't wait to enjoy it in a few days!

I'm on super formula lights as of now. Love that turbo sound.

I wish the current F1 car was still the '21 Merc.

Also worth noting, you can access the GP Tour from Class C, whereas the GP Series are Class A and have very poor participation.

Didn't know much about iRacing so this is very welcome. The Lotus 79 is an awesome car. It has ground effects so the car gets sucked to the track by the air flow. So basically the faster you drive the more grip you have.

if you run time trials you can gain 0.10 or more safety rating an hour, if you make it to 4.0 you get an instant class promotion. its very possibly to get to A class with grinding and spending a little $ in 2-3 days from rookies without actually having to race in the rookies or lower class lobbies

@17:09 Surprised you didn't mention launch control for the SF23 - it REALLY makes a huge difference. You still have to pedal it but it really helps.

I'm still a rookie racing VUE and the FF1600 and finishing top 5 on average. The standing starts recommendation is golden! That is one thing I could not figure out... Just finishing a race without crashing is an accomplishment for me right now. But hoping to be racing with you one day Emily.

Was just researching about open wheel progression recently. This video helps a lot 🥳!

I really love the new Super Formula Lights branded F3 car. I'm thinking it might replace the Fanatec GT3 series as my series I do every season. The license split has been great for me.

I drove the ff1600 a lot last season and had some fun in the rain this season too. My main focus this season is the f4 Americas series. Being really familiar with most of the tracks helps a lot. I've been taken out a lot on lap one but when I'm able to survive I can usually get a decent result.

F4: "The driving standards are ... umm ... a bit ... umm ... all over the place..."

That's one way to put it :D

Super Formula Light is a ton of fun. It's the first open wheel I've tried outside of the FF1600.

You dont actually have to do a single race to up your licence, you can do it all in time trials. But racing is more fun.
Great Vid and really good advice on clutch setup for starts. Im a A class in iRacing but I still race FF1600 as I really like that series and the drivers are not so aggressive.

One thing was missing about the Indycar. On road courses you also can map a button for overtake boost. In real life you have an amount of time to use it in races. But in iRacing they gone another way (don't know why). In iRacing you can use it 10 times a race. The boost will last a specific amount of time. But I dont remember how long it was. And I think, if you brake, the overtake system will end automatically. But this I don't remember for sure. Correct me, if I'm wrong. So, this boost makes only sence on longer straights

Great video. Iracing is simply the best out there. F1 series however are not super crowded as other open wheels cars are actually more fun to race with.
Iracing is actually very cheap when count all the hours of fun you can have with all the free content. Dont aim to drive every car on every track. No one really does that.

Recently promoted to class A, but I struggle to find any F1 sessions where there is people. Would have been really interesting to get a video about HOW to find races in F1 :)
