For some reason UFOs/AUPs are attracted to the huge Lake Michigan area. I had a sighting myself along the beach shoreline in Michigan City, Indiana on the same lake. My dog, a Black Lab, alerted me to a shimmering light beyond the dunes sand trail, at night, back in late Summer, 1977. I had taken her across the street on Georgia Ave, there for her nightly dune walk. When I released her from the leash, she did not run into the dune, but instead, remained at my feet and pointed ( as a bird dog would to prey) toward the lake. I looked and saw a shimmering light at the dune front area of the beach. Thinking that my neighbors were having a night party and fire, we ran down to join them. Amazingly, when we got to the trail opening to the sandy beach, it was totally deserted with no one in sight anywhere. I then looked left and right and then realized that there were 3 small lights coming our way (going east) from thr west just above where water met the sand. They slowly glided our way until I could see that there were 3 luminous globe objects moving a few feet above the small waves and about 3 to 4 feet across at centers. They were also the same distance apart in a typical echelon formation. One was out front with the other two behind at left and right, forming a small trianglar formation. As they passed quietly by our field of vision (looking north at the lake) I looked down and saw my dog watching the spheres as I was. The 3 spheres had their own pinkish hue light eminating enough to see the small waves with white foam, just below them. I then saw the yellowish arcs of static light racing around the surfaces of all three globes. The arcs were a fuzzy yellow color but could be seen easily. The globes had been silently passing by and never changed their shoreline course until they ended up disappearing far east from us along the lake edge toward New Buffalo, Michigan. At closest viewing as they passed by us, they were only about 150 feet away at water's edge. The police in Michigan City laughed and hung up the phone on me before I could even explain the sighting fully. I have also wondered why my dog or me didn't run down to the globes to get a close up look. It was as if we were not meant to. Mufon has had this report since 1983. All is true and correct as I remember which is just as if it happened yesterday and not decades ago. I am 74 today. WE ARE NOT ALONE AND NEVER HAVE BEEN.

If there were more than 300 reported witnesses, you can be sure there were as many more that did not report their sightings.

I remember this perfectly. It's funny how this story did not mention the person from the Muskegon County Airport that tracked it on radar over Lake Michigan and set it did like 10, 000 miles an hour and disappeared. Within a few days they said that person was moved and reassigned somewhere else

Even with the radar evidence, the radar operator Jack Bushong suffered ridicule. Thankfully, he was later vindicated. But imagine even with the evidence people don't want to believe it. Big shame.

15-16 years ago traveling as canadian trucker thru Michigan I saw big bright ball and then 3 smaller lights come out of it, then making speedy dash around and couple minutes latter returned all into big ball. I heard on radio so many other truckers seeing same happening.

My wife and I saw these lights that night. Very close to us. But we were in Au Gres on US 23 just north of m55. Then a week later we saw them there again. Same spot.

I was living there at the time in Benton Harbor and a buddy told me a crazy story.
In Bridgeman Michigan is a nuclear power station and it had a buffer zone around it so we used to go there and have bonfires and drink beer. That night he was down there partying and told me three UFOs dived into the lake just offshore from the station. That evening the reports about the UFOs were all over the local news.

There was a time in my town here in the Philippines maybe 1995 during a summer night, we were outside the Church grounds, there was an occasion and a lot of people were there even cops, a circle shaped craft passed by slowly, it was pretty low and no sound was produced. We were astounded. Even cops don't know what it was. It has different light colors, green, red, yellowish and white. Then it headed towards the big Mountain and vanished in the dark clouds.

They are still out there. West Michigan Lake shore. I've had two sightings over the last ten years. First one in 2012 and second one in 2020. A friend of mine new to the area approached me two years ago and said he was seeing strange lights late at night he was thinking he was the only one seeing them. I asked what was he witnessing and his description was very much what I had experienced. So I told good at least I am not the only one. Very Fascinating.

The only thing I find MORE surprising than the whole non-human intelligences being here on earth are how many people there are out there in the world who genuinely think none of it is true.

My mom was living in Holland MI at the time when she saw that exact ufo she said she went on to turn a candle by the window when she saw the craft right outside the house it was so big and close she could make out figures she got so scared and ended up waking everyone

I lived in N Muskegon about 3 miles off Lake Michigan. In the mid 90s one summer I saw a group of white lights to the west. Weird as this sounds they were behaving like a swarm of some sort, very erratic movements.Never saw it before or since, but will never forget.

I have a Lunt 300mm H-Alpha scope and often see triangles with lights that move, yet they always seem to stay the same distance apart. It's very difficult to explain and that's why I believe it's extraterrestrial...because I don't have the words to describe it. It's like they come together, but were they ever apart in the first place? And just as this lady explains, it is always impossible to discern whether it is one craft (a mothership) or several crafts independent of each other.

I saw this too except it had to have been around the year 2001. I was in the passenger seat on our way home from West Branch down to metro Detroit. I was just a kid and never saw this unsolved mysteries or anything on it.

So I looked out my window, it was about 2:00pm and it was blue skies. I saw a triangle of white puck lights. They stayed moving at a steady pace south, the same way we were going. After a few minutes in the blink of an eye the triangle shot south so far I could barely see them anymore. They stayed there for about 15 seconds and then disappeared.

I haven’t heard of this story from Holland until now. For 20 years I tell people this story and no one believed me. This is crazy

My brother me and our buddy were playing street hockey, triangle shaped object with red, white and blue light's came out of the clouds the thing was freaking huge!! Took off as fast as it came down, absolutely no noise from it.

Basically the same over Lake Superior. We went camping all over up north in UP and lower north, we loved going to Lake superior to have fires on the beach and watch UFO's. Sometime single, but usually a swarm like hovering out over the lake in a swarm like insects do, as if they had to stay inside a certain globe area in the shy. UFO's over Michigan is nothing new at all.

I was a trained observer. And even I still can’t account for the over 6 hours of missing time nor how I wound up a state over from my planned destination.
