Fine dust to linger in some parts of the country

It's time now for the weather update, so let's head over to our Lee Jeehyun at the weather center. Jeehyun, before we get into the weather I remember reading an article about the increasing number of vibrio infections this summer. What's the reason for the increase?

First of all, vibrio is a bacteria which can cause food borne infections, usually associated with eating undercooked seafood or eating raw shellfish.

The number of vibrio cases increases when water temperatures are higher, and due to the prolonged heatwave we had last August, the number of vibrio infections is five times higher than the same time last year.

Here are some tips to prevent the infection. With the Chuseok holiday less than two weeks away, it is especially important to be careful when preparing food for the family. Be sure to cook everything thoroughly and wash your hands before and after handling food.

Back to the weather conditions,
The Seoul metropolitan area saw twice the usual amount of dust today, ... and Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Province and the southern regions will see lingering dust till tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, rainfall is expected in the eastern coastal regions while the inland regions could see passing showers.

Temperatures should be a tad lower than today,
Seoul will start out at 21 degrees Celsius while Busan and Jeju Island have a low of 23.

For the highs,
Seoul will see highs of 27 degrees Celsius while Daegu and Gwangju hit 29.
