Once a Tabletopia simulator game, which was previously a board game, Wingspan is now a stand-alone digital game, like Terraforming Mars. You and your fellow players are each trying to build up your bird sanctuaries by collecting food to attract birds, laying eggs and using your birds to give you other benefits. The game features beautifully animated cards with accurate bird sounds for each of the 170 birds as well as voiced facts for each and soothing soundtrack. Hotseat and online multiplayer, AI opponents and automatic score keeping make this a 100% faithful conversion of the award winning boardgame. It is available now on Steam.

You convinced me to look into this game way back when and I'm glad you did because this version is so pretty and relaxing to play yet still has a lot of interesting strategic complexity.

Note: At one point I wonder if my inability to transform 2 food into 1 was a bug, but it turns out that the game's rules say you can only do that when playing a bird, thus it is NOT a bug and was merely enforcing the game's rules properly.
