Saturday 10am Tropical Storm Ian update: Ian continues to strengthen

The latest track shows Ian becoming a Category 1 hurricane Sunday night.

As Ian moves into the southeast Gulf of Mexico, further strengthening is likely before it makes landfall somewhere along the west coast of Florida as a major Category 3 storm. Most tropical models are in general agreement with a west Florida coast landfall some time on Wednesday.
