First impression of Bijeljina, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Took a bus to Bijeljina, a small town in the Republic of Srbska in Bosnia & Herzegovina. An interesting multidivided region which offered local rakia, local food, hospitable people and cultural attractions.

Bijeljina is a beautiful town in Bosnia, during summer its beautiful.

Unfortunately you didnt have time to explore more of the town, we have a fairly nice town park, a decent looking promenade along a channel that runs through the city, a larger monastery and some nicer places in general. Next time you come you can visit Local Steak House or Etno Selo Stanisici, those are the most popular tourist places (for a reason). Even so, your choice of rakija and food was decent! BIH is very, very decentralised country, it has very divided societies. Bijeljina (and all Republic of Srpska) is predominantly Serb part and it is more similar to Serbia, than to rest of Bosnia.
But however, politic is not so important theme for normal, progrssive people.
You visited some places in center of Bijeljina, and that are not the best places in Bijeljina, there are much better places to visit, but however, you are welcome.
