Those pork loins: Many don't know what they're looking at. Play butcher for 30 minutes! Lop off slices from the fat end and get those high end, boneless pork chops that you pay big bucks at the store! Like 'em thick or thin? Your choice! The rest can be cut into roasts that'll make fine meals in the crock pot. Recipes with all sorts of flavorings abound.

Headed 45 minutes south to Pensacola, FL today. When I do a major haul I enjoy no sales tax on food in FL.

Going to a high-end grocery store is like going to a fancy restaurant. Your paying for the ambience, , such as the nice carpet - shiny floors - stereo music - lighting - extra friendly workers and so forth. I guess its to make you feel "special" ~ Good deals there Pinball.

Good morning Pinball and the family. I'm a hard core shopper. Nothing goes into the cart if it is not on sale. Always plan ahead

Our little country store that was a major place in this part of the county, burned after Christmas. They’re rebuilding, but it was the only grocery store for a 20 mile radius. I’ll be so glad when they rebuild, their prices are MUCH better than in Bham

Grocery outlets have such great prices! I wish we had one where I live in CA. I ordered $300 worth of food, all online the same day Jason posted his video. I couldn't believe the prices in NY, after I had just ordered so much stuff for the same amount. I ordered soy milk, soups, everything lol. Shelf stable foods for my pantry. Trying to stock up before prices go up and the packaging gets even smaller!

I went shopping yesterday day with this challenge at heart. I spent only 130, but had about as much as Jason. Pa here.

Milk is $3/gal., the Johnsonville are on sale right now @ 2/$7. The pork loin is on sale for $3.99/lb. your cheese was way cheaper than we can get it even at the Grocery Outlet- and thank goodness we have one! Oh- and thought I’d mention that those rotisserie chickens you get in the deli area are $8 each and the size of a Cornish game hen! I’m in Mendocino County. Shelves are having less and less every day. The mood inside the store is somber- not sure if it’s specifically food availability/prices or the face diaper mandates!

Very similar in the upper Midwest...my wife and I spend about $200 every 2 weeks and that includes a lot of fresh produce as well. We also get the 99 cent/lb chicken breasts and the whole pork loins as well from our local small town grocery store. Easy to cut them into roasts and boneless chops then use the "water displacement technique" to get all of the air out of the gallon Ziploc freezer bags we freeze them in. In addition to our bi-weekly grocery trips we also stock up on great sale items when we find them like the several cases of Campbell's Chunky Health Request soup that we just bought for 99 cents/can or the 28 oz cans of Red Gold crushed tomatoes that we bought for 89 cents/can. Incidentally, I always special order when I stock up as clearing out store shelves is very bad behavior. The stores are always happy to order what I want since they don't have to waste time/labor to stock it and I get cases which are easier to transport and store.
