The (non-window) Airflow version is tempting although I'd prefer 2x140 in the front rather than one and a solid top panel.

it used to be my favorite case, I was planning to make my next build with pure base 500, unfortunately I wasn't able to afford a new setup and pure base 501 came out kind of bittersweet but great news! loved the case. think I'd go with silent one because be quiet!

No way, you actually did it right as one of.... all manufacturers on the market. Mesh on the front panel is NOT a dust filter - so you have added dust filter - congratulations for understanding and approach to customer. Second - Top panel - I mean - these plastic magnetic dust filters was.... not filters really - it was simply same effective as mesh on front of the case. Till today all manufacturers, using this type of filter was making honeycomb in the case (metal), and putting plastic dust filter on top of it. Not sure WHO designed this in your team, but he deserves a bonus. One plastic mesh as whole panel. This is great - top panel doesnt need that much filtering (i'm covering the case when i'm not using PC with plate under cups, dishes).

But i cannot say its perfect. Maybe instead pointing out problems of this case, i will tell you recipe that would let you sell 3 000 000 milion cases in one year? "O11 Torrent". That this recipe. BeQuiet O11 Torrent. With your tradition - putting dust filters, LL feature - easy access to all panels removal (no latches, or plastic headers - just screw and gap for it - sliding in panels), FD feature (also SilverStone) - 2 large 180mm fans at the front, dual or triple 140 at the bottom, PSU in second compartment and some finishes like covers for fan slots at the top, that would also serve as SSD mountings (better airflow with good space using), 140mm fan (or even go crazy - 180mm) at the back. Top panel made with metal (any metal), not plastic, front, bottom - no matter, make it look great, rear - no plastic. Idea for front is what you did with your newest cases large ribs, behind that dust filter, and ribs going over to second compartment (still front panel), with I/O panel hidden between ribs in one vertical line.

I was excited when i heard about the new 501 cases, but huge mistake with this one. 3:11 The old silent 500 one had the option to chose between solid or mesh top cover. But the silent 501 doesn't give any alternative and have only mesh top cover. I mean, what was the logic behind that? It nulifies the purpose to chose the silent 501 version at all.

Wow an entry level case that includes reset button and drive activity led but majority of recent mid and high end cases lack that crucial feature. Seriously get your act together when it comes to front IO on cases.

Why combined audio/mic jack? Front panel has space for separate. And most of the headphones with mic have separate 3.5 mm jacks, where usually adapter do not come with them.
