Medical debt is no joke. I had to go into bankruptcy, and lose my house, change to a lesser car due to medical debt. The hospital bill alone was over a quarter of a million and then I still had bills from the specialist, and the medications they put me on post-op were so high I had to use my 401 k and my other savings just to keep from having complications. No, I wasn’t in an accident, but I failed as a former nurse, to push my doctor’s to educate me as to what was going on. What made it so bad was that my problems were exacerbated by the medications I was prescribed . For the last 8 years I’ve been turning my life and the way I lived around. I am so thankful that during my last rehab I began to read Dr.Bobbys book on Vegucation over medication and started listening to his podcast that I’m now retraining my body to eat right with hopes of living healthier and no sending myself to an early grave! Thanks to my re-educating myself and asking my still living relatives about food and family I truly feel that I’m on the right track. I’m listening to my body and watching the changes make a difference . Thank you Dr. Bobby if you get a chance to read this !

I had a 90 minute MRI in the hospital charged me $30, 000 for 90 minutes and I had applied for financial aid because I was unemployed at the time had no insurance they denied me financial aid even though I was unemployed and over 55 years old at that timeI tell you I don’t worry about that damn bill I’m done

Good evening, YT Son Dr Bobby and Host. Thank you for this topic today. 2 years ago, my Cardiologist requested an echocadiogram for me before an atrifibulation procedure. My insurance company said that they would not pay for it. Today, after seeing a pulmonary specialist, I am diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. And 10 more tests and procedures to see what is going on. Now, the insurance company will pay for this. The problem was found 4 days after total knee replacement surgery.

And it’s people in my family that are on blood pressure medicine and diabetes medicine and some ok with a poverty mindset. I made a vow. To break that cycle. The WILD thing is that EXACT same thing happened to me in 7th grade. Just so happen that a friend of mine mother was a teacher at the school that I went to. I literally asked the special ed teacher the same thing…I knew I wasn’t shouldn’t be in that class. I mean I have seen some of these kids in school but have never had a class with these kids. So that was a red flag to me. I was told to sit down a not to interrupt as well. Thank God that my friend’s mother saw me and asked to see my outside of the classroom. I was telling it all!!!! Super happy to see her. She took me to the office and said “Something is wrong….” The principal new me told be a good kid and a smart one. So he immediately looked into it. Shout out to him and Mrs. Palmer!!! Yeahhhh sometimes you gotta fight to get out of a bad situation. 🤎👍🏾🏆
