People keep saying Jeremiah was perfect for Belly but he’s too much alike her. She needs someone who compliments her otherwise its just like being with herself. Conrad has always cared for her, looked after her. He really was the one that stole the show. He had growth. It shows how honestly people deal with grief. First it was confusion, he bottled himself up the only way he could. He had the job and he was the one that was responsible. He stopped having the flings. He stopped drinking, he looked after her. Even in the scene of the dance. Whats most romantic is not that he wanted to dance with her but was willing to embarrass himself so she wasn’t utterly mortified. It shows the type of person he is with his mom. Tucking her up walking her to sit down. He did that to the point he was not enjoying in his own interests. Conrad is a shy guy, but he is someone Thats sentimental. Like the necklace. He knows belly honestly more than the rest. He never left her out of things. He got jealous with Cam, he got jealous with Jeremiah but instead of sabotaging it like Jer did on their kiss, he went with it until it was his time to shine. I think his love for belly and vice a versa is a representation of the love of their mothers. Every relationship has to have friendship first. Their moms love each other and understand each other. Even if its not in the same way it’s still the kind of love that sticks beside you. Through thick and thin. They try to deny it until this very moment. And even in the books, they always are drawn together and eventually find their way back. Thats a soulmate thing. She can never let go of her love for him because even though she has a crush, she loved him from the start. Love grows, and that original feeling is what developed into a crush. A very real emotion that turned into a romantic one. Endgame. When thye kissed It wasn’t brought on my a need to feel like she was pretty or loved, but by a mutual feeling for each other that they can’t even use their words to explain❤️🎉 he is her sun, and she is his moon. One cannot live without the other❤️

This book series is my favorite of ALL TIME. And I'm so happy with what they've done with the show. I'm always and forever team Conrad. Have been since day one. They're meant to be. I love Jere, but just not for Belly. He just isn't her soulmate, he just isn't the love for her that Conrad is. And they did an amazing job with the casting of this show, their chemistry in the books is so good. And the chemistry these actors have is amazing! A++ for bringing my fav series to the screen. I can't wait for season 2 and probably 3! 🤍 It is very different from the books but so many of the same things are similar. I'm glad they changed the way she found out about the necklace, and I'm glad he admitted it sooner. There are things in the show I wasn't a fan of that wasn't in the book, but overall I'm so in love with the show! 😊

She saw them. They both did. Their faces are glowing for them. I think they both know that they’ll end up together. What a comforting thought for Susannah. To see her Son and Belly (who is like a daughter to her) be so intensely in love, that she’s basically seeing their future flash before her eyes. What a wonderful comfort thing for her to know before she goes. And the fact that in the book she says take care of him- she means Conrad. She knows.
