I can see Nunez being slowly integrated into the team. Think about Fabinho not starting straight after signing him. I could see a starting front 3 of Salah, Jota and Diaz on the opening day.

The rush to write Nunez off is funny when you actually realise Klopps track record of developing forwards is the best around. Barrios, lewandowski, aubameyang, mane, firmino, salah, jota all exploded under him

People are talking about Nunez like he’s come in to replace Mane, Firmino and Salah all at once.. the price tag is reflective only of his age, the time left on his contract, and his potential.. I honestly don’t think he’s been bought to be a 100% starter this season.. and Diaz was bought to replace Mane - for me it’s a much bigger season for him than Nunez

I don't get the narrative that Nunez is the Mane replacement, it's just not true.

Luis Diaz was supposed to come in this summer, but LFC had to act in january bc of Tottenham. This pushed Mane into the striker position, but the replacement was Diaz, not Nunez.

As a city fan, I do think people are overestimating how well Haaland is gonna do his debut season. I don’t think he’ll score the 40 goals that people think he will, but with that being said…for his price tag, his age, and his potential… he has to be the best signing of the season

James, I think your categories are all over the place. I mean, Leaves a Legend isn't really pertinent (as it is hugely speculative) and the other four seem disjointed.
1. Outstanding / No brainer
2. Potentially Gamechanging
3. Positive (solid?) but nothing special on paper
4. Unconvinced (time will tell)
5. Huge Question Mark (doesn't make sense)

I think the system needs to be easy to follow.

Nunez just needs to score 21 goals and have 2 assist across all competitions to equal mane contributions which i feel he does and as good as mane is i feel diaz was his direct replacement and nunez is a upgrade on firmino

that nunez take might be the first time ive ever truly fundamentally disagreed with jim on something. its a great signing - not liverpools fault mane is gone, and i dont think theres really anyone in the game who you can go out and sign to replace him 1-to-1. theyve gone out and signed a great player who isnt intended to outright replace mane

It's sad that Nuñez will be compared to Haaland. He just happened to sign for the rivals of the guy who's been called the next messiah for several years

I understand what you mean about Wolves needing to strengthen other areas, but we've needed a starting Centre Back for a good few years now. We played 5 at the back because only Kilman could actually play in a back 4, and our defensive approach has really hampered us at times, hell most of last season it didn't even work and we were only kept afloat by Jose Sa playing out of his mind.

KK for Chelsea is a great signing, no questions. Colwill isn't getting sold this summer, and the fact KK is an older signing means Colwill is actually more likely to get playing time, same with Ampadu.

Keep in mind Chelsea has lost two CB already, Azpi is likely to leave, and Thiago Silva is turning 38. KK is only one signing to fill those gaps

I have been saying the expectations for Haaland are way too high. In the long term I am sure he will be a great success but I believe everyone expecting him to run off with the golden boot will be in for a rude awakening this season.

From the clips ive seen of Leeds preseason. I think you ve got it spot on for the little time ive seen them. Aaronson looks like he is going to be a major player in our attack. sinisterra has struggled to get play time but when he has come on he has been solid but he looks like the quality of defence has scared him a bit.

Haaland right now is a great signing. In order to leave a legend he has to win the Champions League in my opinion. City have already established themselves as cereal Prem winners so depending how long he stays there he might win 1 a year.
