Thanks for the info! I'm tempted to pull the trigger on the Avata Explorer Combo which is even cheaper (by $110) than the Pro-View one you listed. My fear is that the minute I buy that, I'll find out that they're releasing an even better FPV drone two months later since the Avata has been on the market for well over a year now.

That steep discount on the Avata (in addition to the age of the current model) suggests to me that DJI is soon to come out with an updated model. Would you agree?

And, what might you expect the improvements to be? I suppose an obvious one would be longer battery life.

The thing that keeps me from buying the avata is there's no combo with a real controller. I don't want the motion controller, and buying everything separately never made financial sense. I'm not the only one. DJI's loss, I guess?
