I got mine few weeks back, and I received a Microtech mat with it too. Wasn’t expecting to receive one from ordering a black tanto ultratech. Either way I love it!

Yeah mine came in pretty dull and stiff but the action after use it gets just perfect

Anyone else find it incredibly ironic they include a work mat ?

Just received mine Monday after Easter. Stiff as hell and the deployment and retractable features stopped working within 20 minutes of having it. Filled it full of Rem oil and let it soak. It started working again but still way too stiff, almost unusable. Might send mine in for service.

Very many reviews on BHQ about these magnacuts being delivered very dull. I want one, but I might wait until that issue is resolved before I place my order.

FYI you have to break it in then you'll eventually have a quick action without much force

Curious as to what you are going to do about the stiffness of that action. Mine has the exact same problem. It definitely shouldn’t be that stiff 😅

The handle looks smooth. Is it grippy enough?

Those types of blades are meant for stabbing not slicing that's why I'd buy it self defense

My new UT is also stiff as all get out. I just don't get why it has to be that way. What is the blade, maybe an ounce? All you need is enough tension to spring it forward, like in the Lightning. After working with it a few weeks and trying the oiling thing I will say it's a "bit" better. Everyone says it will break in, so we'll see. I have other brand OTF's and they're all pretty easy going.

I really want one, I’ve got a regular tanto ultratech coming to me this week, cause I originally saw this one…. So my friend traded me my 810 contego for his ultratech just to see if I like it enough to invest in the double edge cause I’ve never ever had one.. not sure if use it

I want one but i will not be buying it to see how it cuts paper 😂 i want mine for self defense purposes only.. i use protech runt 5 in magna for edc.. a double edge dagger should not be considered for anything else but self defense

I was going to grab one but as hard as they're pushing their m390 MK. I'm sure the heat treat is like 60...61 hrc tops Theres no way they are going to let it out do their special steel... If I'm proved wrong in the HRC is 63.64 I'll grab one in a second.
