From Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958): Detective Scottie (James Stewart) who suffers from acrophobia is hired to investigate the strange activities of an old friend's wife (Kim Novak). She commits suicide while Scottie becomes dangerously obsessed with her.

*This is from the remastered tape and the bullet reports from the policeman's revolver are not from the original print. They do sound super, much better than the sound from an automatic pistol.*

he falls to his death and the rest of the film is a ghost story. Lots of evidence for that.
