Perhaps Canadians do things differently (at least Toronto was able to keep the Glad Day bookstore going after Boston shut down), but around here, when I was socially active, camping was more the province of the middle-aged than the young.

The GOP has never been a left wing party. The fact that they held some views which are today considered to be left wing doesn't make them a left wing party.
