Got the chance to help Joe Jackson at Classic Pontiac Rescue pick up these Trans Am's that have been sitting for right at 30 years! They are in amazing shape for how long they have been sitting!

I know these are not true bandit cars I just always refer them to these years because of the movie!

Gorgeous. I've used the tire clean solution at the car wash for vehicles this nasty from sitting. Spray it on and let it soak a few minutes and the gunk just comes right off easy.

I have a 78 firebird esprit.. LOVE IT! I found it in a barn in upstate New York where I live..all original survivor! And yes the blonde girl is gorgeous 😍

From what I could make out, the white one has 8" Snowflakes, which, if original, means it has the WS6 handling package. It has a Pontiac engine but I couldn't tell if it has painted or silver metal valve covers, so dunno if it's L78 400 or W72 400. It has Fisher t-tops, 78 interior door panels, and 78 lattice style grills.

The bondo, black, and grey T/A has the 1977 honeycomb grills and what might be American t-tops, or they might be Hurst. Either way, a couple of nice finds. Please do followup videos and reveal engine details on both and whether the bondo one is a 77 or 78, and about its t-tops too!

Nice find !
I should talk to your buddy at that shop. I have a ton of parts, and a few cars left from back in the day.
At one time, I had 22 parts TA's up here in the N.E.
That was when they were cheap!
Those 77-78 TA's have a huge following.
Yep...they're still out there

Just picked up a 81 turbo trans am project. Had an engine fire 20 years ago. Someone started to fix it and lost interest. It’s a Daytona 500 pace car too! 👍 It’s good to see others getting saved.

I had a Formula like that Red one and a 77 Bandit 6.6, plus an 82 Recaro T/A partscar for my 83' 500hp stroker and a 89 V6 I was going to rebuild years ago.
The 83 and my friends 70 Challenger are shredding tires in my 96' VHS Burnouts & Boobs

Damn! Sweet finds, most people are lucky to find one, much less two and with T tops no less!

They should have a 1970-73 Trans-Am white with Tan leather interior, or a Blue one with Black interior. Love those honeycomb wheels on those year models. Most beautiful car in those years...

I'm a proud owner of a 94 Pontiac Trans that's heavily modified with a 383 stroker LT1 with a D1SC procharger at 15 lbs of boost. I'll never sell it. I've been building this car for 5years. I call it my project trans am. The only thing stock is the body and interior. Street and strip and car meets and car shows with it. The Pontiac Trans am iin my opinion is the hottest sport's car ever built... Congrats to Pontiac... They did a hell of job with body looks... 👍🤙🇺🇲

I graduated automotive HS in 1975 got a job with Pontiac in the get ready shop. We installed the radios, defrosters, alarms, vinyl tops. Detailed the card and delivered them to the dealership about 3 miles away. I drove more 455 trans am cars than you can count. And they were so poorly but together, parts missing, I'm talking real crappy construction. But they sure looked good. Anyway in 1988 I bought a black fully loaded TA with the screaming chicken and everything. Guess what, it was garbage, burned rubber ok looked good, but the repair receipts were very high. I traded it in for a Honda civic in 91. Life is good 😊

That protective dirt coating on those beautiful machines. 😅
Hope nobody's torn into those engines and drive trains. . It's like Christmas when performing the first inspection and you find things in better shape than you'd hoped .
