Ghost Stories by Mary Shelley, Lord Byron & John Polidori | Gothic & Romantic Literature Series

In this video I introduce you to the Ghost Story Challenge from 1816, in which Lord Byron challenged Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley and John Polidori to each write a ghost story during a story night at the lake Geneva in the "year without a summer". I share some background information about the inspiration for each of the stories and and tell you how they are connected. I hope you enjoy the video!
