Thessaloniki Byzantine Tour

In Thessaloniki I busted out the walking tour of the Byzantine churches. Some of the frescoes such as those in the Roman Rotunda which later becomes a church are significant in that they survive the atrocities of Iconoclasm.

I made it to my bus just in time to head toward Karditsa where I will visited the Monastery of Petra in the mountains at the north end of the Plane of Thessali. There we saw ruins from civilizations unknown dating from 1000 BC.
