I Got Denied Credit with a 774 Credit Score! (What I Learned)

I got denied for credit, even with a 774 Credit Score!

Crazy right?

It's so embarrassing. And this is hard for me to talk about.

Since I'm a believer in leading by example!

(I own a credit restoration company)...

It is very, very important to me to have a great credit score.

VERY important.

That's why I was so hurt when I was notified back in July 2020 that I was denied the Chase Ink Cash Business Credit Card!

But you know what...

I decided instead of accepting defeat, that I would try again for this exact SAME card recently.

Y'all want to know what happened on this second attempt?

Was I approved, or denied again?

I'm definitely going to tell you at the end of this.

But first, I want to talk about 2 important lessons I learned from being denied for credit with a 774 credit score!

(That can help you too)

Lesson Number 1: Your credit score is NOT the end-all, be-all.

The information that makes up your credit score is.

Your credit score is just a number generated from the information on your credit reports.

There are many different credit scores.

But there's only one credit report per credit bureau.

This means that correcting the information on your credit reports is vastly more important than just having the best credit score

There are exceptions, but most of the time this holds true.

Moral of the story: If you don't have a professional look at your credit reports, you may not have an accurate depiction of what's really going on with your credit score!

Since MOST credit reports have errors!

That goes for if your credit score starts with 3, 4, 5, 6, or even 7.

Lesson Number 2: Your credit score (and/or credit reports) is not the only thing creditors check for when you apply for a credit card, car, home, etc.

Getting into a home, or being approved for that nice credit card involves more than just a great credit score.

My situation was a living example.

Even though my credit score was "great", I was still denied credit.

Why?

Because Chase Bank checked for more info than my score!

The same goes for you.

If you do not have a credit professional looking at not only your credit reports...

And teaching you exactly what creditors are looking for...

You could continue to be denied and not even know why!

So for the reveal.....

Did I get approved for the Chase Business Ink Card on my 2nd attempt?

Yep. I GOT APPROVED!

This Chase Business Ink Credit Card has a credit limit of $22,000 too!

Let me tell you this:

If I can be denied with an almost 800 Credit Score, what do you think can happen if you are not where I am or higher?

And no, I'm not saying you SHOULD be where I am or higher.

If you are new to the credit world, you most likely aren't!

And that's ok!

I had to work my way up with credit restoration and credit education, just like everybody else!

Remember, they don't teach you this stuff in school!

But I do teach everything you need to know about credit!

You now may be asking how I'm able to teach my clients about credit, and also how I improve their credit profiles!

It’s so messed up. I got denied with a 787 score, because I paid off my mortgages, have no car loans etc. I have one credit card and that is it.

To fix your really bad credit, just do this. Mine was REALLY BAD. So, I did this on my own. I got a credit card from a bank, where I had to deposit some money on that card FIRST. I opened a checking account with the same bank. Then I bought something on that card for about $650.00. Then, I had that bank make my payment from that checking account for me. It was always on time. What they want to see is your ability to pay your debt consistently. I was able to round up that payment to the next one hundred dollars. Do not pay it of. Make the payments. Let your bank make the payments. It’s their job anyway.

Now my credit score is in the 750 range. It goes up and down a little. The bad part here is you HAVE TO have or keep a small balance on your card. Buy a few payments....pay it off then do it again. It’s a game. Now, if you choose not to play this silly game, you will have NO CREDIT, and need to start over. These companies think we are stupid, we are maybe some of them are. So, educate yourself. The funny thing is, some banks do not know how the system works.

I owed one bank, $50, 000 and never paid it. They wrote it off. I owed another bank $60, 000 and never paid it. And they wrote it off. I owed another company $25, 000 for a repair, and never paid it. Now, my record is clear, and I have a 750 credit score. Save your money and do your own research. You can do this too!

I was denied through Chase because of a Charge off in 2015. They said it has to be 7yrs old and it is. Called the Reconsideration line and they still denied it. It's ok I got the 3 major cards from American Express with great cash back and rewards!!

Also you can have an 850 credit score, and try to buy a car, but if your current income and or debt to income ratio is not what the lender wants to see....that 850 doesn't matter.

Me too with a 785 credit score. I pay all my bills on time then the bank came back and said I could get a card but it will have a higher card fee, keep in mind I earn 120K a year and the banks know it 😂😂😂.

I got denied for a card or two with with a score over 720 and its a car loan, a few past credit applications that got denied, same with some past cards being closed off and me not having a card for a few years. The car loan, I had to cosign with my mom and put her as a cosigner and I'm going to pay it back quickly to ease her mind even though I have the money for the remainder of the loan even with a big down payment of ten grand on a 24 grand car loan.

I got approved for Chase Freedom unlimited today. Finally in the chase ecosystem. Fell under Chase’s 5/24 rule. I applied in branch to eliminate any errors and can be corrected in branch.

Nigga didn’t even say why he didn’t get approved the first time which is what the video should’ve been about. Sounds scammy just to push the business 😂💯

It’s Not all about a score. It’s the profile. U can have a 760 and someone else can have a 700 if that person has a thick file like 11+ accounts they more likely to get approved. Let say you had only 3-4 accounts that’s a weak profile even if you have a 750 . Most people look at that score .Also too many Address, names, etc
