P.S. for all of you loving the corn starch idea, I put mine in a little parmesan shaker and sprinkle it on my baby's bottom. Works great 😅

I am a guy who are not married and don't have kids.. But I love this channel. Regardless of the topic, I just love the general talks and the kids always makes me smile ❤️

Thank you!! I feel like Youtube and other platforms create the image that you have to have all these things for your baby. My husband and I live in a small space on a budget, so our first baby was bathed in the laundry basket, changed on the bed and didn't have a stroller for the first few months because she was very happy in the baby wrap. The only thing we spent money on was washable diapers and wipes which saved us money in the long run. The rest we just gathered second or third hand, mostly for free! I had her in France where they also encouraged tracking everything, but it stressed me out so I stopped and she ended up setting her own routine in her own time. My biggest tip for new mommas- try to relax and only worry when it's actually important! Stress - including the financial stress of having to buy so many things- is so bad for your health. Thanks for making this video!

Girl lol I'm a 32G without my milk in. Nursing bras are 100% necessary. I wish I could wear bralettes, they are so cute.

Funny thing that I needed almost everything from your list. :) Especially blackout curtains were a lifesaver. Without them my kiddo would woke up at 6 a.m, but with them he was sleeping until 8:30 a.m. Well, it’s one more prove that all kiddos are soooo different.... In Finland we don’t have baths at home, only shower or sauna, so I really needed to have a baby bath . 😅

Delilah! We did it, I’m pregnant! 💜💜 you have been such an inspiration through this journey, you help me stay positive and keep my goals in mind. Thank you so much for your incredible content and positive attitude. So much love from Alberta 💚

YES about the tracking app! It made me even more obsessed and aware of how much sleep we are both NOT getting. Not tracking has helped me to be a lot calmer.

It’s interesting!! So many of these items I used SO MUCH for my babies/me. All babies and mamas are different and have different needs 💕

A good tip I got regarding wipes: when you put baby down to change baby's diaper, put the cold wipe or two in the top of your shirt near your heart. By the time you need the wipe it will be warm. No wipe warmer needed 😊

I found that you don't need an excessive amount of baby clothes, especially newborn size. They grow so fast in the first few months that they hardly get to wear their outfits more than a few times!
Another thing I have done without is a lot of baby furniture like bouncer, swing, bumbo, walker, stationary jumpers, etc. It's really not necessary! Pick one or two of those and you should be fine.
I also really dislike light-up and battery operated, noisy baby toys. I feel like they just overstimulate Baby. Stick with rattles, teethers, or crinkly toys instead.

I agree with some of these, but personally, I found the nursing bras, baby tub, changing pad, and nipple cream super helpful.
I have a very large bust, so just using a normal bra just didn’t work too well. I actually ruined one of my bras doing that.
The bath tub was a huge help since we bathed our daughter in there tub with it in the sink. After having her, my core was so shot and I needed her to be up higher.
I tried to use my milk for my sore nipples, but it simply wasn’t enough. My daughter had a severe lip and tongue tie, so I was in a lot of pain. Once that was fixed, I still used the cream for tenderness, and it worked like a charm
It’s so interesting how everyone has such a different experience!

I agree with the tracking app! I did it with Cohen and I started with Brighton too but I realized a few days ago that it's just anxiety inducing and I stopped and it's been so great the last few days.

Coconut oil is too large of a molecule for our skin to absorb, therefore there is no moisturizing. Just sits on top of the skin.

I totally agree with your list other than the nursing bras. I tried wearing normal bras and I had such a hard time nursing with them. The brand Kindred Bravely makes really nice ones that aren’t super pricey.

When you have large breasts a bralette does not work. Unforutionaly, I needed to invest in some nursing bra.

Target has really good nursing bras for 12.99. Bralettes don’t work for the well endowed women lol

i think using cornstarch and coconut oil is the best way to do it. Natural is the safest option

Such a great video!
Here are 12 Alternative Product Suggestions (a mixture of Delilah and my own) for new moms:
1. Coconut oil, Corn Starch
2. Coconut oil, natural bath oil (we use Epimax bath oil - so no need for expensive lotions)
3. Warm socks if baby needs something over their feet.
4. Warm baby wipes in bra before using on baby especially in winter, also gives a little cool relieve to moms who breastfeed.
5. Any WIRELESS bra (wired bra's can cause mastitis), Cotton on bralettes are sometimes on sale, super cheap.
6. Bath tub inserts or holding baby while taking a bath or showering (you would have to be super careful but it is possible).
7. Changing pad on table/dresser
8. (I loved using nipple cream after every feed) but you can also use your own breast milk for free.
9. Agree and Disagree, cause L's nails grow crazy fast and tears into his skin if we don't clip them but we do use normal nail clippers and not a special baby one.
10. Feed on demand, don't force a routine from day 1, it creates unnecessary stress.
11. Let babies fall asleep in most types of "scenarios" to ensure they don't struggle in strange places or limit when and where they can fall asleep.
12. Cloth Diapers are great to reduce waste, but you can also immediately trow out diapers in an outside bin.
