The Evo`s and STI`s just dont evolve anymore, they get slower and slower with each new generation since the mid 2000`s in my opinion. The cars get heavier and heavier, and their engines just dont cope well at all with modern emission laws they have to fullfill. I drove a 2010 Hatchback STI and it felt like a T34 tank compared to my old GC8 JSpec WRX, it was a LOT slower, the engine just didnt wanna rev at all in comparison. Back in the 90`s and early 2000`s the Evo`s and STI`s were untouchable in their class, but the europeans and americans caught up and are ahead now, a Golf R, Audi TT RS, M135i and so on are just way superior now ... :/

EVO, your F-Type launch control activation technique is INCORRECT.  Stability control does not need to be turned off.  You simply engage dynamic mode, shift from D to S, press the brake with the left foot, then press the accelerator using the right foot (with the other foot still on the brake, at which point a notification on the screen will inform you launch mode has been activated), and then release the brake.

The Jag costs 40, 000 more, I hope it is faster in a straight line! Subies have never been good drag racing cars. But I'd like to see both cars through the bends. Or off road even. I own a wrx impreza and I know there are much faster cars out there. But it is really an apple to oranges argument. The F type is way more expensive and in a different vehicle class all together. Why even compare the two?

I have a V8 F-Type and a Prodrive-tweaked Impreza WRX. I love being able to throw the Impreza around on the corners, it responds so much better to directional changes than the F-Type. That being said, the Jag has an incredible ability to pin you to the seat when you put your boot down. They're very different cars, but both very special in their own way. Choosing between the two is like choosing my favourite parent - it doesn't quite work that way.

I agree with some of the others on here, TRACK BATTLE! The 2nd gear shift in the subie looked pretty shotty, but it is the same old motor. Did you all see Japan got the 2 liter all spruced up to nearly the horsepower of the old 2.5, but massive more low down torque. The rest of the world wants it
