As I have been following your great work for many years, I am really hoping you make your BEST video ever - an FSD retrospective. The world needs to be reminded of what FSD was like in the beginning, the scary times, the interventions and how SO many early challenges were resolved over time. You have unique footage and experience to tell that story. It will be a lot of work, but as we near realization of autonomy this is your story to tell, like no one else can.

new car just now got an update from 12.3 to 12.5, and it's so good already. Cannot wait for the v13, and thanks Tesla add another month to my 3 months FSD upon purchase making it 4 months now, what an amazing company.

i just noticed it and its really mesmerizing looking at how efficiently it uses braking and accelerating i think this driving in autopilot will greatly increase the Teslas range

That it recognized it would be in a loop and parked instead is actually extremely impressive. This particular problem is theoretically unsolvable according to Turing so the fact it assessed that was likely the case and took action is impressive.

I find this whole FSD thing fascinating and I can look at it from two points of view;

1) Technically this is fantastic. It can recognise traffic, signs, routing, speed limits (ish). It can accurately navigate in a safe manner from A to B to C with zero driver intervention.

2) This is version 13 of a software that’s been in development for years and it STILL can’t keep to the speed limit, it thinks sidewalks are suitable places to drive or park, and in a car park the size of a football field it decides to park in a no parking zone.

As Yogi Berra was quoted as saying “80% of the time it works all the time”

I would have no issue doing a long distance drive in this under FSD conditions. But there’s no way I’d let my elderly mother use it.

Wow turn speed looks so much improved. I'm actually kinda floored on that. I've noticed most turns of v12 still had a weird slowdown or hard break at the start. Also looks like better turn lane ingress speed.
I'm not even mad at the parking loop.
I think the sub-destinations would be cool, hope with Holiday update.
