Let's Talk OPENLY About Perimenopause and Menopause - Hear Our Stories and Learn From Each Other!

Meet Michelle in this video as she shares her menopause experiences after a partial hysterectomy. Following the procedure, Michelle noticed an immediate absence of her monthly period, along with the onset of some perimenopause symptoms. Her biggest challenge? Hot flashes that have persisted for over 7 long years. Despite the discomfort they bring, Michelle courageously navigates through important business meetings and presentations, triumphing over those embarrassing moments.

In addition to hot flashes, Michelle is also aware of a very common menopause symptom – the excess weight around her midsection, commonly known as a muffin top. She has also noticed that she feels more emotional than usual, which surprises her as she is typically a strong and steady person.

Michelle has discovered that hot flashes are triggered by sugar and hot drinks, so she is mindful of her diet. With the help of various exercises and physical activities, she is able to manage and even find joy in this stage of her life.

Michelle stresses the importance of embracing menopause instead of hiding or feeling embarrassed about it. The key is to have open conversations with friends and family members. This not only helps us gain knowledge but also allows us to better understand the changes happening to our bodies.

Join Michelle on her journey to conquer menopause and discover how she finds joy and strength amidst the challenges.
