They perform really similar. But when I tested both, I just prefer the TSI. It feels much more alive, more grunty, angry, you give it beans and it just revs and revs and revs, but TDI hates high RPM. No benefit from dragging the engine above 4k rpm. It just seems boring compared to the TSI. I was honestly surprised that petrol engine has 0, 5 liter disadvantage and it performs actually better. Love that little engine.

Very good. Difference was not bad. Its a diesel, will drive twice as far 😉 Stage 2 it and we done.

That's a very slow 2.0tdi is it the 110hp version?

Fuel economy in tdi is different, you wont belive how mutch more the 1.5 spends on fuel daily

I much more prefer the midrange torque of the diesel and you don't need to rev it high to get the most out of it

I have a 2.0 tdi stage 1 185 hp and it runs better when the esc is turned off.

Anti pollution system affects the 2.0 Tdi performance respect to 1.5tsi

this is not comparative test. TDI is on Sport mode and TSI on manual. it is pointless to see that comparisons. Both cars should be on manual or sport mode and have same settings for ESP.

Not much in it really, apart from fuel economy which will be much better in the TDI. I had a 2016 TDI Golf and it would often do 62- 65 mpg and that was when I did use its performance potential. I seriously doubt if the TSI would do 50 mpg.
