The Barbie Dream House is an iconic dollhouse that represents fun, glamour and innocence. It’s Barbie’s happy place. In this DIY project, we turn her dream into a nightmare. We use paint, custom sculpted miniature props, flickering candles, spiders, and spooky digital video effects to give Barbie’s dreamhouse a makeover into a scary haunted house. It’s all powered by an Arduino Uno R4. We take inspiration from classic horror movies and TV shows like Scream, Stranger Things, The Ring, and Arachnophobia. You’ll see Samara coming out of the TV, Ghostface is stalking Casey in the kitchen, and a possessed Barbie is summoning monsters with her magic circle in the Living Room. There’s even a Skibidi toilet in there. We wanted to call out Southern Gothic Dollhouse for inspiring us with her beautiful and haunting custom dollhouse. Check her out!

The fragility of the the Barbie house as you received it is insane. I had a (secondhand!) Barbie house in the 90s made out of wood and particle board that was practically indestructible.

That said, incredible transformation.

Also for future doll hair attempts, gluing the bangs the opposite way and then straightening them the correct way makes it more seamless and the glue hidden. People who make custom dolls do this a lot

As a Barbie fan, I love this! And i totally believe this would happen in barbie's world, she has so many summer get-away houses, malibu homes, etc the only place she seemed to go back to was her Victorian theme home which was reintroduced 3 or 4 times in different colors. but lately she keeps buying new homes and mattel hasn't reintroduced past models. So this is literally an example of what happens to barbies vacation homes when she doesn't use them any more and how she makes money buying new homes, things get old, aged worn out, she doesn't keep track of all the people she's renting these homes to so she has no idea that one has just become a conjuring Scream horror house and doesn't care as long as they pay her rent so she can by more malibu home get aways lol.
